In the age of sonic and visual perfection, DEUX takes a step backwards and celebrates the retro beauty of analog video. This tape features two recent livestream concerts broadcast from my studio in Baltimore. Both gigs included on DEUX were shot, edited and produced with vintage video equipment and analog video synthesizers. Visually, DEUX recalls the classic early 80’s Double Vision or Industrial Records video cassette releases.
This video cassette is housed in a hard shell style VHS case with full colour artwork and is strictly limited to 20 hand numbered copies. When they’re gone that’s it.

L’Avenir returns with Requiem, his fourth full-length album for Barcelona’s Cold Beats Records. Requiem finds L’Avenir visiting themes of alienation, postmodernity, and spiritualism while expanding the sonic palette far beyond his minimal synth beginnings. The music of L’Avenir has often been compared to 4AD-era Clan of Xymox or mid-period Depeche Mode. But while echoes of the former can be heard, L’Avenir brings a uniquely fresh perspective unheard in other bands of the genre. Requiem features eight new songs and is available on limited edition blood red vinyl and compact disc. The CD version features the full LP plus the bonus album L’Avenir – Live, recorded at various concerts across the U.S. in 2019.

After numerous requests for physical reissues of out of print L’Avenir releases, I decided to create the imprint Soleil Noir to reissue these OOP titles with bonus material.
We begin with the 2015 Beläten cassette Engineer EP. Reissued as Engineer [Plus], this hand numbered limited edition combines the original release with 2017’s Les Vieux Jours EP plus two previously unreleased live tracks on one compact disc.
Engineer [Plus] is a limited edition of 100 numbered copies w/ blood red, sun embossed wax seal.
I’m happy to announce the split vinyl release Mirrors of Expression with Silent Signals will be available soon. Clocking in around 40 minutes; each side contains 20 minutes of brand new music from each artist. The vinyl is currently in production and will be available soon on EINS:ZWEI:ACHT.
